Risk management Responsibility
It is the responsibility of employers, self-employed persons and principals to initiate activity for identifying the safety hazards at workplaces and taking reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or reduce the risks. This includes assessing, controlling, monitoring, and communicating risks.

What is risk management
It is a key of the workplace safety and health framework to inculcate an accident-prevention culture, and its legal requirements are stipulated in the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations.

Risk management involves:
  • Conducting risk assessments of work activities.
  • Controlling and monitoring the risks of work activities.
  • Communicating the risks to all stakeholders.
All workplaces must conduct regular risk assessments to identify the source of risks and to take reasonable practicable steps to eliminate or minimise the risk and followed all the Standards and Code of Practice published by the local government agency such as CP for Risk Management.
